Welcome to the first blog from Angela Bruch Art!  Thanks for stopping by!  I would like to use this blog to help you get to know us.  We are a family owned business of artists where creativity reigns.  Although our website is new we have been artist for many years.
I am Angela Zajac Bruch a mixed media landscape artist. Painting traditional or abstract collage landscapes.  My role in social media is weekly teaching on FB live and now blogging.  Michael Bruch works full time as a mechanic and paints part time primarily abstract.  He also does much work behind the scenes.  Working as a team we also paint together on canvas.
Kristi Ann Cheek Dec 29, 1991 - Sep 10, 2015, was an amazing mixed media artist.  She was one of my biggest fans wanting me to share my art with the world!  This first blog is dedicated to Kristi…. I can now say: “I’ve done it honey.”  We plan on making prints of Kristi’s paintings and make them available for purchase.  It will be great to celebrate and share her creative mark left behind with others.
The art we create in our lifetime becomes a piece of our souls left behind.  My goal is to encourage others to tap into that creativity.  Just keep creating!  Whether it is painting, drawing, sewing, photography or, writing.  Take time to develop the gift you have been given and brighten the world around you.
When asked how long I’ve been painting, the answer is; my entire life.  My earliest memories are painting in my bedroom on my parents old kitchen table.  They were great to allow me to use it.  I painted and sold plaster craft. A high school art class clay hand build earned me second place in the state.
Although a career as an artist seemed like my destiny, it was not to be for many years.  Art was done more as a hobby.  About three years ago the decision was made I enrolled in Fink Traditional School of Art.  School was self paced and taught some solid basics of drawing and pastels.  Although I do not currently create with pastels, the most important lesson taught was an increase in my confidence!
I also made the decision to be creative daily.  Whether it was art journaling or an actual painting this discipline has lead to my current artistic style.  There just needs to be what I would call some “ugly paintings created!  Trying different art mediums and finding which ones you like the best.  I love using color to create a peaceful scene for the viewer.
Today it all starts with items of litter found during walks.  A parking ticket, an old list, shoe laces and other neat items.  The challenge becomes making the items fit together into art.  It is also rewarding to create abstract landscape collages using memorabilia that customers provide.  Unique one of a kind paintings are created.  Papers that would often end up in a drawer or the trash somewhere.  Stay tuned as our my work will now be available online or in our studio.
Most recently her work was in the 43rd Annual Anderson Juried Show and Art On The Town.  She is also one of the 8 artist chosen for Greenville,SC 2018 Flat Out Under Pressure contes,  starting 2019,  her paintings will decorate a recycling Bin in downtown for  1 year.  One of Angela's paintings was selected for the upcoming Fall Edition The Key magazine.  Angela's work can now be viewed at the Art Cellar located in downtown Greenville.
